Spry – a new kid on the JavaScript block

I just bumped into Spry, Adobe’s JavaScript framework. It seems nowadays every big company needs one. Let’s sum it up:

  • Google – Google Web Toolkit. Unfortunately not pure JavaScript (generated by Java)
  • Yahoo – Yahoo User Interface (YUI). Tested extensively, since they use it themselves.
  • Microsoft – Atlas. Again, of course, embedded into ASP.NET.
  • Adobe – Spry
